RE:Tab — Tabula Rasa Edition ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps you manage and organize your open browser tabs. This privacy policy explains how the Extension handles your data.

Data Collection and Storage

The Extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data or browsing information to external servers.

All data processing occurs locally on your device:

• Tab Information: The Extension reads information about your open tabs (titles, URLs, favicons) to display them in the interface. This information never leaves your browser.
• Bookmarks: If you use the bookmarking feature, bookmarks are saved to your browser's local bookmark storage (managed by Chrome), not to any external service.
• Preferences: User preferences (such as view settings, stashed tabs) are stored locally in your browser's storage using Chrome's localStorage API.

Permisssions Explained

The Extension requires the following permissions:

• tabs: To read and display information about your open tabs
• windows: To organize tabs by browser window
• bookmarks: To allow you to bookmark tabs through the Extension
• management: To detect installed web applications
• <all_urls>: To access tab URLs and favicons for display

None of these permissions are used to transmit data outside of your browser.

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties because we do not collect any data in the first place.

Your Rights

Since all data remains on your device:

• You can uninstall the Extension at any time, which will remove all locally stored preferences
• Your tab information is never stored permanently - it's only accessed while the Extension is open
• Bookmarks created through the Extension are stored in Chrome's standard bookmark system, which you can manage through Chrome's bookmark manager

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. For significant changes, we will notify users through the Chrome Web Store listing.
